Adult Faith & Fellowship ProgramsYoungish Married Couples of Parkdale - YOMACOPYOMACOP is a group designed to get the young(ish) couples of the church together not only for fun and fellowship, but as well to discuss faith issues, relationship and family issues, and planning ways to serve the Church and community. The group meets once a month at the homes of members on a rotating basis. If you are a “youngish married couple” and wish to join, please contact the church office. Singles and others The Singles group at Parkdale is for adults of all ages that meet for fellowship and friendship. Once a month there is a meeting after church to share a meal and discuss relevant issues. Other recent events have been a cottage retreat, a hike, and organizing a church dinner. To find out when the Singles group will meet next, call the church office. Youth Groups The Youth Group at Parkdale is for the youngsters in Grade 7 or older who meet
once a month, from September to June for recreation, service opportunities,
fellowship and sharing in the life of the church. Under supervision these young
people play volleyball and basketball, volunteer with Parkdale's “In From the
Cold” program and participate in worship services. In recent years, in thousands of churches, ‘small groups' have proven to be an ideal venue for facilitating spiritual growth, friendship and support. Five to ten individuals meet regularly at a time and place of their choosing to study the scripture or related materials, to share ideas and feelings and to pray for one another. Please speak to Barbara Faught if you are interested in learning more. Bridge ClubParkdale's Bridge group meet regularly for fellowship and fun. From September to June, bridge players meet at 1 pm on Mondays. Any experienced players are welcome to join us. |
